What’s New June 2010
The Queensland Home Garden Expo and Farm Fantastic Caboolture
After a very busy Maleny Wood Expo we are now gearing up another two shows – The Queensland Home Garden Expo and Farm Fantastic in Cabooture. The shows are a week apart in early July and feature some great displays. We will be showing a range of timber outdoor settings, bedroom suites, dining tables, coffee tables, bars and bar tables, a kitchen bench top display and our ever popular cutting board stand. We will also have a display showing the different slab timbers we stock such as blue gum, blackbutt, camphor laurel, brush box, lemon scented gum and many other kiln dried timbers. We will be able to chat to people about prices, designs and ideas they have for upcoming projects. These shows usually keep us busy until well after Christmas so get in early.
Cutting Boards
May would have to have been our busiest month ever. You can now find our eco friendly, 100% Australian, hygienic, camphor laurel cutting boards in a large number of Cornetts IGA stores throughout Queensland and Harris Farm stores throughout New South Wales. With out giving too much away we are also negotiating with three overseas companies to supply boards in Asia and Europe.
Current Projects
Just to name a few
- Rustic blue gum beds to Sydney
- A brush box bedroom setting also to Sydney
- Two blue gum kitchens on the Sunshine Coast
- A doolan dining table to Brisbane
- A timber slab blackbutt shelf and bar stools to the Gold Coast
- A blackbutt dining table locally
- A boardroom table to a big Brisbane company
A special mention this month goes to Daniel from Glasshouse Mountains. Daniel is making his old man a bar. Daniel’s dad Bernie hosts a homebrew comp every Oktoberfest and Daniel (who is in Year 12) has to design and make something worthwhile. No better project I reckon. Should look great with a kiln dried blue gum slab top and a steel frame.
