Office bench tops and shelving

Timber Slabs Ready Now or Next Week

What's New? - November 2007

A big month at Fab Slabs (well that's not new) but some great bench tops and timber slab furniture was made.

If there is anything that sounds great send us an email and we can send you some photos.

What went out? To name a few..

  • An awesome Lemon scented gum timber slab kitchen bench, polished and coated with 3 generous slabs of marine grade poly. The new owners of the bench top promised us there first born child they were so happy. Lemon scented gum is a local hardwood, brown and cream stripey patterned timber which sells as quickly as we can kiln dry it.
  • We completed the office bench tops and shelving for Knights Fine Wines using some kiln dried camphor laurel timber slabs. The straight edges as opposed to natural edges gave the office a modern and stylish look and really adds value to the office.
  • A big blue gum island bench top and matching blue gum timber slab benches and shelves were installed locally into a renovated Queenslander. The kiln dried timber slab benches really suit the house an finish it with a real WOW factor.

In brief

  • Another awesome looking solid slab hoop pine and blue gum timber surfboard went into a Noosa Beach house - Great feature!
  • A blue gum dining table is currently on it's way to Inverell NSW and another one is off to Mebourne.
  • Stools and matching blue gum timber slab coffee table was made to match a bar we recently completed in Tanawha
  • Silky oak mirror and shelving to match silky oak furniture in Doonon

This month

Can't wait for these two

  1. A massive blue gum kitchen using kiln dried local blue gum timber slabs
  2. An awesome jarrah kitchen in Samford, Brisbane. We imported the jarrah timber slabs from WA and kiln dried it ourselves.

In the kiln right now - ready soon

  • Some of the most perfect blackbutt slabs I have ever seen - hardly a blemish and up to 800mm wide
  • Iron bark timber slabs up to 1000mm wide
